do you take walk-ins?

We do take walk-in appointments. They are subject to the artists’ availability and are first come, first served. We list our artists’ open time every week on our instagram, but you can always call the shop to ask or stop by the shop in person.

how do i make an appointment?

There are a few ways to make an appointment for a tattoo at Torchbearer. If you know the artist you would like to book with, please email them directly as they are in charge of their own schedules. If you do NOT know which artist, please fill out the ‘REQUEST APPOINTMENT’ form at the top of the screen. You can also email us with your idea, any reference photos, location you would like to put the tattoo, and we will forward it to the artist best suited for you.

what is the shop minimum?

The shop minimum is $100. The hourly rate is $200 and we take a $100 deposit on appointments. Deposits are non-refundable and go towards the tattoo price.

is there parking available?

We have street parking on Westminster St, most of which are not metered. There is also a parking lot behind the shop off of Washington St.

what do i need to bring with me?

You MUST have your ID on you to get tattooed in the state of Rhode Island. We will not go through with the appointment otherwise.

do you do piercings?

We only do tattoos. For piercings we suggest Rockstar Piercing located at 394 Wickenden St Providence, RI.

after care instructions

Always touch your new tattoo with clean hands

  1. Remove bandage and wash tattoo with warm to hot water, a mild fragrance-free soap (i.e. dial or dove), and your hand (no washcloth) to wash off all blood and ointment.

  2. Pat dry with a clean towel and allow it to dry before applying a thin layer of Aquaphor

  3. For the first 3-4 days, use a thin layer of Aquaphor 2-4 times a day as needed.

  4. Wash the tattoo 2-3 times a day as stated above and apply Aquaphor after washing.

    Switch to a fragrance-free lotion after the 4th day.
    Do not pick or scratch your tattoo
    Avoid tight clothing while healing
    Keep your tattoo clean and dry
    No swimming, No baths, No hot tubs, No tanning or direct sun light for 2-3 weeks
    If any activities hurt your tattoo, avoid while healing
